Happy with the signings?

Saints go orange! Saints have appointed Jan Poortvliet as their head coach in a new continental-style set-up following examples of Cruyff's Ajax and Barcelona. Poortvliet, who played for Holland in the 1978 World Cup final, will be joined at St Mary's by fellow Dutch coach Mark Wotte. Current boss Nigel Pearson has been told his contract will not be renewed when it expires next month. The Dutch duo will head up a revolutionary coaching programme which will heavily involve Reserve team boss Stewart Henderson and youth team coach Dave Hockaday Rupert Lowe's intention to bring them instead of Burley at Christmas 2005 has happened finally 2 years later.  Saints spread their wings to become European minded.
